Citizens for a Healthy Bay, the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, the City of Tacoma, and Go Local are now partnering on the Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tacoma-Pierce county (BEST) program! We have created the Environmental Business Alliance (EB Alliance) to help Pierce County Businesses improve their environmental performance and increase their profitability. The Alliance provides members access to resources and information about environmentally sustainable practices.

CHB and the Chamber have chosen to combine the strengths of their individual programs to better serve the environmental challenges facing our business community. CHB's program, Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tacoma-Pierce county (BEST), and the Chamber's program, the Tacoma Alliance for Clean Technology & Sustainability (TacomaACTS), are joining forces under the EB Alliance and BEST program.

What's good for the environment can be great for your bottom line. Sign up for our Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tacoma-Pierce County (BEST) program and you will receive a free and confidential environmental impact assessment from Citizens for a Healthy Bay and will become a Environmental Business Alliance (EB Alliance) Member. Members of the EB Alliance can use a carbon footprint calculator that places special emphasis on the needs of Pierce County-area businesses and includes information particular to the energy supply and transportation choices available in Pierce County to assemble a planning-level greenhouse gas emissions inventory.
